The Wootton lab would like to welcome Thomas McAusland to our team. He will be starting his MSc in September. His research will focus on developing strategies for optimizing production of high titer preclinical grade recombinant Newcastle disease virus expressing novel immunomodulatory proteins.
We received an NSERC Engage grant to work with Natrix to develop a process for using NatriFlo HD-Q membrane technology to purify high titer clinical grade infectious virus for downstream applications in animals and humans.
We were successful in renewing our Ontario Lung Association Grant to develop a gene therapy treatment for permanent correction of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
